Here's a screenshot from my mailbox on Gmail.

Gmail is getting pretty bad at catching SPAM.

Is that your spam folder from gmail? I can't remember the last time a spam message showed up in my actual inbox with gmail (excepting stuff from legitimate companies). I suppose it is possible, but I find it hard to believe that our experiences with gmail's spam filter are so different.

Strange, I find Gmail quite useful in catching spam. I route all my separate email addresses through Gmail and there's hardly a spam mail getting through. I've set up a few extra filters to move e.g. messages with Russian code page straight to trash so that I can verify my spam folder on occasion for false positives (the Russian filter alone takes care of 60% of my spam).

Some problems with Gmail I keep having: It erratically filters out good mail from solid sources (such as Microsoft, CNet, Gamespot and Fileplanet, as well as news sites that I have been subscribing to for years) and it seems to want to prevent me from getting a better job by filtering out job offers even those written with corporate email addresses Shocked
