Does anyone know where you can get a DELL laptop fixed in Busan? (I actually live in Changwin but i doubt there will be anyone there). I would rather go to an official place than some tech guy on the corner - the ones that come to our school on a regular basis to 'fix' our computers are really awful.

thanks in advance.

thanks for the advice. Did it matter that nothing was in Korean on your computer, or did you buy it here?

I bought it here, but it it has nothing in korean on it, english windows and everything. However it wasnt a software fault, i had spilled water on the screen which caused something to stop working (main board had to be replaced) i dont know how but it seems they didnt need to do a format.

Another time i got it repaired when a HDD failed, they reinstalled all, using disks i provided-however i had to try about 3 stores before i found a laptop repair place.

What exactly is wrong? Is it still under warranty?? If your korean isnt very good or you dont feel comfortable trying to find a place that will repair it dell do have people that speak english, and they are pretty good at sorting out a courier.

I just shy away as the reviews of them are alittle bad-but could jsut be people nit picking.

Baaaaaaad news, buddy. Apparently Dell Korea is crap when it comes to dealing with products not bought in Korea.

You're better off finding a reliable local repair shop.

It doesnt charge...well only about 1% a day and lasts about 20 minutes when it's unplugged. I spoke to Dell in the UK and they even sent me out a new charger (via my mum) , but explaining it to the tech guy he said that they would have to replace the mother board or something along those lines, however it's not covered under international warranty (only in the UK). DELL Korea doesn't have an email (or so the guy told me) and i'm not to keen on phoning up as my Korea is pretty poor. guess I'll head down the local shop and trust to luck......

Thanks for your help. Just to let you know the first and last email addresses are not working any more. The KRSupport one gave me an automated reply, not sure what it said as most of it was just question marks. I think my best bet would be to try someone local.
