Well, I just moved into my apartment a few weeks ago and I got wired up for internet this morning. Since this morning, I've downloaded more than 10 gbs worth of videos/tv shows. At first, all I could think about was the ridiculously awesome download speeds and I totally forgot about the possibility that there might be download caps here. I'm from the states and I know that some ISPs like Time Warner Cable implements download caps to limit downloads. Do you guys know if such business practices are utilized here in Korea? For reference, I'm using the 3 year 28,000won/month SK telecom plan. I'd call and ask the company about this but my Korean, while passable, is not great plus it's late right now...

I've limited my downloads for now...I hope I don't get stuck with a huge overusage bill or anything like that.

The really scary thing is haven't paid a cent for it so far. When I moved in the internet was running, tried canceling the previous persons connection (korean) but I need him to cancel it. They canceled my TV but internet is still strong over 10 mb down and sometimes 10 mb up.

I love the internet here. Back home (NZ) this is over 25 years of downloading

edit This is just utorrent. Have no idea about downloads through browsers

DO NOT download anything that is illegal at a school. If the police find out they will fine the school 2,000,000 Won. The servers are occasionally checked at schools, if by the Police I don't know.
