Anyone hear about this school? You hear about SNU Kaist KU and Yonsei having the best business schools. What about this place? |

So, is Woosong good? Is it a crap school?
Solbridge has a deal with Georgia Tech:

Georgia Tech has a top Tier Business School. Also, Solbridge is involved with the American Chamber of Commerce. I recently received an Email from American Chamber of Commerce about Solbridge Business students and Internships.
I was just curious how I've been in Korea for 3 years, and now is the first time I've heard about this all English Business school. |

I worked for Woosong from March 2008 til June 2009. It is not a bad school but it is not high on the rank of Uni's in Korea (I think it is like 11th in the national rankings, but I could be wrong). Solbridge has only been officially opened since late 2007 or early 2008, so it is no wonder that you haven't heard much about it.
The classrooms are modern and well equipped and I have heard that all the faculty have Phd's in their respective fields.
I'm not saying that Solbridge is a bad school, I never worked there, and have not been a student there. I am just saying that it is part of WooSong Foundation, so it doesn't get the same attention as the SKY Uni's, and I doubt that it will ever. SNU Kaist KU and Yonsei are the top uni's in Korea. |

Thanks for the info. Actually, it is kinda cool to see more "All English" programs come around here in Korea.
I hope more schools open up. |

SolBridge has kept a relatively low profile in Korea until recently. It now has 350 students from 23 countries and is hiring about 10 professors per semester to accommodate the growing student body. It is unique to Korea and is the only business school that teaches using an American curriculum teaching model: both curriculum and interactive teaching style to encourage critical thinking and student participation in the learning process. Check out it's web site at www.solbridge.ac.kr. They are hiring marketing staff as well as long as they have master's degrees and some background in education and experience.
I know, because I work there. |

Do you teach or have a management/marketing job there? |

I teach (work) and each of us, as members of a relative newbie institution are expected to pitch in wherever possible like giving marketing lectures to visiting students. I mentioned marketing because when professors are hired, so must we also have additional students. I understand it is tough to convince a person to come to korea to study. What, in English, in Korea? Right! but they have done pretty well I think |
