I have a few questions about renewal pay on a contract. This mostly concerns public schools but maybe some hogwans.
So I resigned my contract at my local high school. I have two questions.

My first question is about severance payment. Does the school district pay you on the day your contract ends or is it paid on the regular monthly dat. My contract ends tomorrow and the school payday is the 25th of every month. I don�t care either way but in the end I don�t want to be stiffed my extra contract completion bonus.

My second question is about the airfare. Under my old contract it never stated getting a 2,000,000 resign bonus. It just said you get a two week paid vacation and plane ticket to your home country. It would be a round trip and take part the last two weeks of the contract.

Well my contract ends and they had no ticket so the school board tells me they give me a 2,000,000 resign bonus instead. Again, though this is not in my contract. They told me for that bonus though they pay it next March when the semester starts. I guess they flew some teacher here or home on a contract and he took money and never came back.

Do these sound fair and logical? I guess worst case if they try anything weird I have all year to fight it.
