There's a new book out about North Korea and how they view the world. It suggests that rather than being a Communist country, North Korea is instead fiercely nationalistic. Basically, they think the Korean race is so much superior that they needn't interact with the outside world. And also that South Korea is polluted by foreigners and policed by the US military.
It's called "The Cleanest Race" by B. R. Myers.
