What's up my peeps?!?!

My urges to create videos come and go. Lately, they have been coming. So, I decided to look at some HD digital camcorders. Most of you will remember my thread where I compared the same camera in Korea to its brother in the US. Big difference. So, my question is:

All things considered, which would you buy and why (if you had 500,000WON and had access to camcorders in the US)?

I'm looking to sell my current one. I'm not sure how much I can sell it for as I have to re-price it.

Also, I recently learned that Sony Vegas Pro. has a problem with coding AAC codecs. That sucks MAJORLY for those whose cameras record audio in AAC and video in MPEG4 format. Amazingly enough, Movie Maker can decode AAC. How can such an expensive program such as Vegas not have that option yet a FREE PROGRAM like Movie Maker can do it just fine! I'm boggled.

Alright, help me! Very Happy

I haven't looked too hard in about 6 months, but the Canon models were tops back then.

As for editing, I have used Sony Vegas.... I used to edit professionally on AVID, and I believe they have a more consumerized version. You might want to see if that's available for... uh... download. It's likely very expensive, but industry standard.

You could see what Adobe has these days.

It's very odd that Vegas would not process AAC audio. You should be able to work around that with a little shareware program called Virtual Dub, which would let you re-encode your raw video files with audio in a different format. I like Adobe Premiere meself anyway.
