I was wondering what these places would be like over Lunar New Year.
Ghost towns? About the same as usual? Party central?
Anybody have any insight? |

| We went to Hong Kong last year over Lunar New Year and loved it; however, everything was closed, so that was really a bummer. I wouldn't go anywhere near China over Lunar New Year, it was a mistake. There was a parade & fireworks, but everything we wanted to see was closed. |

I was in HK 2000 lunar new year of the dragon. It was one of the more memorable of my life experiences.
I drifted along among the masses of spectators viewing the fireworks over HK harbor.
The crowd was well packed and all you could do was drift along peacefully until the show was over and it eventually thinned out. |
