next week is a movie sort of week in my classes. i've been trying to subtitle a couple movies with zero luck (i've attached subtitles to another non-christmas movie, so i have no clue why it's not working again).
can someone give me suggestions on where to buy cheap english (with korean subtitles) dvds? i'm not looking to travel all the way to itaewon or yongsan, and seeing that i'll be in the myeong-dong area this weekend, does anyone know of any places there?
thanks |

A little more work, but try making activities out of these movies.

They have limited dialog so you don't have to worry about subs. You could either watch 3 or 4. Or make a work sheet.
Back west 7th graders would throw you out of the room if you played this stuff. Here 3rd grade middle schoolers are completely enraptured for the full 8 mins. |

Yeah, Gomplayer is great for subs. Nomad-sih, I found that my students can get subs in no time flat if I have walked in without them. Decided to be nice to my 2nd graders this week, because I was tough on one class in particular for the last few weeks. |

thanks for the help everyone!
that site worked a lot better for me than cineast (?), where i used to download subs. i don't have a lot of time with the kids next week, so it looks like i'm showing a christmas tv special and doing a low maintenance kind of activity |

subtitle work shop will allow you to open and edit the subtitle file, change the file format i.e change from .smi to .srt so you can play in vlc player, or save as a text file so you can print for dialogs |
