Has anyone heard of BIS? They offer 6 months training (!!) and you'll be treated as a certified teacher at the end of it. What's up with that deal? Do they offer pay during that period? Has anyone worked at that school?

It's the oddest advert I've seen.

They'll put you in an army barracks. You'll have to pass the rigorous physical and tactical training for 6 months to survive in Korea with no pay. You'll only get room and board. Seriously, never heard of them, but I'd pass.

6 months training = teaching "training" classes at a reduced monthly salary (no doubt).

I think you might have got the name wrong.

Bundang International School. It is a Canadian School associated with the British Columbian Education system in Canada via the Abbotsford School District. BIS is for licensed BC teachers ONLY!

There is the word that sums it up. Treated..
A certified teacher receives nothing different to other degree holders - unless you want to work in a real international school in Korea or other countries.
