A school wants me to sign a contact for a March start but I would like to wait for possible university interviews in Jan. If I sign but don't give any Visa docs then pull out of the contract can they do anything to me?

Nope they can't do anything to you. If you do it your word means nothing and people should call you a MOD EDIT Smile

If you want the job...sign. If you want to wait for something better, then wait. Don't be a jerk about it.
