So how do you get reimbursed with your airfare back home and severance pay?
So, my contract ends in the end of Feb, and I am not staying with this job.
So I will probably go home in mid Feb.
So, HOW do I get my severance pay and airfare reimbursement pay, if they won't reimburse me until MARCH and by then, if I leave Korea, I would've already been out of Korea, and uh, most likely not have my korean bank account.
Can I set up so that the whole amount in the bank be automatically sent to my bank account in the US before I leave Korea, as well as close the account afterwards? Would I be able to tell the bank to send to my US account AND close the account from a phone call overseas while I'm in the US?
Ugh, this is so confusing, I don't know how they expect us to get our money when we're not in Korea, from a Korean bank account. |

A word of advice...
Don't leave Korea not having all of your money in your pocket. |

There is no reason you should not be paid every last shiip won on your last day. Give them the receipt for the ticket now. Tell them that you expect your full payment on the last day of work.
If you completely trust them then just have them wire it to your bank in your home country. |

You can always set up online banking with your bank before you leave. I know KEB allows you to wire money to your home country with their online banking. |

KEB also has international cards. If you set up an account now with KEB, get an international bank card and then just take out your money via ATM in your home country.
But YOU may not have time to do all that, I don't know how soon you are leaving.
If you are leaving right away, you must demand that they pay you everything before you go. |
