Thinking of getting myself one of these portable consoles and was wondering if anyone has recommendations on which one I should buy.

I don't have either one, but I would prefer the PSP based on the processor and graphics.
However, a lot of folks do love the dual-screen interface of the DS.

Here's some links you may find useful.

Are you a casual gamer (Wii) or a more hardcore gamer (PS3/360)?

DS games are quirky and fun, but many lose their luster rather quickly. There are some notable exceptions, though. If you're looking for something to keep you busy during your commute, the DS is cool.

PSP games have better graphics and longer gameplay/replayability. The screen is bigger and it's better to watch shows/movies on as well.
