I've noticed some job adverts that have that line in there.
Maybe I should wear a blonde wig, wear blue contacts and see if they will hire me. |

Regardless of what color you are, you will land a high paying job if you have the knack for teaching and passionate about teaching.
If a hakwon is looking for an appearance rather than ability to teach, perhaps it's not a place you'd want to go. |

| It would be interesting if you actually did apply witha fake picture or some other 'scheme' in place. Go in with a hidden camera and see what they say. |

I've seen these too. Actually I worked with one at a camp once. To me she looked kind of Italian or Spanish or some kind of European anyway. I think the "looks caucasian" is code for "one parent is not Korean". It's kind of strange. Her English was obviously flawless, but then most people with an F4 have flawless English too. They should put their restrictions around university degrees, mother tongue, qualifications or interview performance rather than looks.
You've got to love the job ads which read "F4 visa 2m won, F2visa 2.3m won" for camps etc. Messed up stuff. |
