I'm an American who has just gotten hired in Korea. I have a notarized copy with state apostille, however, my notary was done by a notary public rather than Korean consulate. I tried to get a notary done through my Korean consulate but they said they no longer do that. My employer is saying to send a notarized copy done by the Korean consulate but perhaps these are outdated directions.
Will Korean immigration accept my notarized copy with apostille even though it wasn't notarized by the Korean consulate? I don't think it's that big of a deal since the apostille is there but I want to be safe. Thank you. |

| As long as it has an apostille for US documents the notary doesn't matter. Only in Canada is the Korean consulate notary required to authenticate docs |
