I am considering teaching in Korea next year. Are the jobs on offer in Korea a better deal than those advertised online.?The hours seem high and the pay so so. Also what is the best avenue to look for work after arriving - newspapers...?

I would say online is the best avenue. However, I would get something before you get here to make sure you have all the paperwork correct. Decide what part of Korea you want, if you want a hagwon, uni, or public school, and then just look for places.

Also you have to be aware of restrictions like Criminal Records and first time Embassy interviews.
