I got my criminal check and degree copies notarized. However, the lawyer just stapled a letter to the photocopy with his notary stamp on the letter, saying the photocopy is of the real documents.

Is this fine? I have heard of others with markings on the actual photocopy itself, not a stapled letter to the photocopy.

The reason I ask is a live in Canada and have to mail it to the Korean Consulate for their consular seal, and it would be a real pain if they rejected it and I had to get another notarized copy and remail it back.

LOL nvm, i must be blind. There does seem to be a light imprint where a stamp went through, so it says notary public on the photocopy too.
