size and strength might be an issue for manny... i hate floyd and would love nothing more than to see him get his a** whooped.... but he tends to fight guys who are much smaller than him... avoiding fights with guys that are more his size... like paul williams and shane mosley. |

Floyd gives Manny a lot of prpblems in this fight. The biggest one being, he does not like to fight. He will run and counter all night long. He also is the bigger of the two and will likely try and tie Manny up while in close. I can see him makking it a long and difficult night for Pac Man
At the same time, Pacqiao is just getting better and better. What he is doing is unbelievable. To be able to carry his power up this much in weight makes him seem like a combination of Henry Armstrong, Roberto Duran and Aaron Pryor. He's just such a buzzsaw of controlled fury that he seems unbeataable at this point. Manny brings the one thing that has caused Mayweather problems in the past; pressure.
If Manny can start quick and win the early rounds, it will make Mayweather fight back in desperation and we can finally see what he is made of. Tyhese guys are two grea fighters here and as much as I love to hate Mayweather, he is a real talent with greaat skills and amazing defense. He also has underrated strenght and power.
I'll go with Manny at this point because he is the busier, better fighter and will go out on his sheild. Mayerather tends to try and weather the storm al Castillo/Delahoya, but Pac Man is a different kettle of fish than both guys, with more speed, agression and stamina. |

I had no idea this would get put together so fast. I thought they would drag their heels forever. This is awesome.
I think Floyd will beat him in a decision, but if Pacman wins, I'll be screaming with excitement. |

Head says Floyd ties, potshots and sidesteps his way to a wide UD. Heart sees Manny blitzing him from all angles and Floyd on the ropes unable to roll out of the way of those straight lefts.
Going to be a corker any way it goes, don't you think? |

I lived in he Philippines for several years and whenever Pacquiao fights the entire country shuts down..when he wins (which is virtually all the time) it's definitely party time there! - not that they really need another reason to do so |

Love boxing, but I'm a casual fan. Am I wrong in saying that this is one of the biggest fights of the last 5, 10...how many years? |

WHOA? Pac-Man seems way outmatched on this one...which is too bad, as I REALLY like the guy!!
If he loses, it will be a...'ah, makes sense'....if he WINS...Pac-Man will be a truly amazing man. |

We all have brain damage to varying degrees. This is a very tough fight to pick, and it figures to be the biggest non-heavyweight title fight since the "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler waged boxing war with Thomas "Hit Man" Hearns back in 1985.
Here's that classic fight (with commentary in Spanish, I guess, but the action speaks for itself...)

Manny is great at a few things but one thing stands out is his angle. He is great with his angle when he wants to punch. It's hard to block and defend when a guy who is quick with his feet that moves side to side. However, Floyd HAS that speed to stay with Manny's speed. Great fight GREAT GREAT fight.
Biggest anticipated fight since Tyson vs. Lewis and remember Tyson was a shell of his former self. |

I think that great trainers figure to have the most insight into what both fighters bring to the table and how the match might play out.
Freddy Roach is undoubtedly a great trainer, and he has stated that Manny's pressure should break down Mayweather faster than it did Cotto.
Of course, he figures to be biased in favor of his guy and would state whatever he can to build his confidence.
He was right on the money, though, in predicting what Manny would do to De la Hoya.
After Roach, I look to Immanuel Steward, who accurately predicted what Mayweather did to Marquez in their recent fight.
Regarding Pacuiao, though, Steward opines that "he's beyond the Hall of Fame" and ranks him with greats like Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson. http://www.8countnews.com/news/129/ARTICLE/2067/2009-11-15.html Still, because of Mayweather's technical prowess, he thinks it will be a very interesting fight, and he hasn't analyzed it enough yet to make his pick... |

Manny will win on decision...
He will get more hits in than Floyd.
Also With Manny holding the Titles he will promote boxing more..
Floyd will probably just go back into retirement and spend the 20million.. |

I think Manny has the edge because he will not respect Floyd's power. He took everything from Cotto and kept coming. He is a little energizer bunny with lead in his fists.
I think Floyd can win, but he has to fight a perfect fight, tie Manny uo in the clinches and stay away from his constant attack. Floyd's reluctance to fight a pressre fighter and go into a defensiv shell and his part time status will be his undoing.
I hope!
