Why do veterans have to repeatedly give the same paperwork?

I was discussing with a friend of mine the fact that she has to keep on submitting transcripts every time she applies for a job. Why should she need to do that if she is using the same ID#? I mean can't they computerize this stuff and save people and themselves the hassle? That would save a lot of trees, I would think. They could add something to their forms that deals with veterans. At least, a third of their teachers would be veterans.

Yes...I wish I could have a GPS attached to all the Transcripts I've provided over the years. I wonder where they all end up? The great Immigration office in the sky?
I personally think there are little monsters kept in Immigration officers all around Korea which only eat sealed Transcripts, but I have no proof of this as yet.

Haven't you been in Korea long enough to stop asking questions that begin with "Why?"?

Yeah, I agree, but it's too rational for this place. It is the same thing with the police check. If I haven't left the country, and I am applying for a new job, what is with the constant expense and required submissions of the same stuff? Highly annoying, to say the least.
