| It looks like i'll be getting a check after I've left for Korea. I've tried to find a way to get it sooner, but it's just not practical. If I have the check mailed to me, is there a Korean bank who will accept it? |

| Banks in Korea will cash checks. However, they charge you a large fee and you gotta wait like 1-2 months for the check to clear before they deposit it into your account. |

I didn't have to wait.
I had a check for 75 USD and deposited it here. It's considered to be like an incoming remittance, so I think I paid an 18,000 won fee to cash it. I didn't mind too much, cause the exchange rate was over 1500 won to a dollar at the time. |
