Ok, let me get this straight. . . I drive 6 hours to Chicago and 6 hours back to answer the questions of what my personality is like and what did I know about Korea??? wow! He seemed more interested in how I thought his Englishee was rather than what I am all about. . . I did tell him to drop the "eee" at the end of English. . . .well, wanted to know!! lol
oh, and a side note----the other teachers waiting for the interview were pretty. . . um how can I say? Weirdos??!!
God please dont let them teach at my hakwon.
what the heck is up with these weird expats, though, seriously??? |

Well, that's the reason for the interview. Hopefully to keep out the bad characters. All-in-all, a pretty good indication of what you can expect from life here.

Multiply that experience by 10 for each year you will stay in Korea. This sort of thing will happen ad nauseum. |

| You know...I completely agree with you. There are definitely some strange foreigners that come to Korea to teach. But after all, if you had a great life somewhere else, why would you leave to come here??? |

I haven't been to Korea yet - job starts in a few weeks - but I have a great life in Los Angeles and I'm leaving it for Korea because it sounds like a great adventure. |

i almost joined the US Navy for the adventure and the traveling aspect. . . but now I can make more money doing what I went to college for, and travel at the same time! a no-brainer really for me |
