Hey guys..
I have a Nikkor 50/1.2 lens that I bought used a little while ago. Generally works well, the glass is perfect, no oil on the aperture blades or anything ...
... but the focusing ring is stiff (especially in the cold) and the aperture selection ring is a little vague. The lens is probably 20 years old at least, so it's quite likely that it just needs to be taken apart and re-lubed with more modern grease.
I can try to take it to the Nikon service center -- but just out of curiosity, has anyone attempted this kind of thing here before? Does anyone know of any good third-party lens repair shops? |
