Are they regular r4 chips? what brand?
I heard they don't provide firmware upgrades for them anymore. |

They are upgraded all the time.
Some are clones, some not, all work. |

went to yongsan with my girlfriend. got an r4 (at least it said r4 on the outside..sometimes they arent actually r4 cards, it's just kind of a namebrand, mine is actually a tt) with a 4 gig micro sd packed with korean games. 45,000 won. the 2gig version was 35000 won. not sure how much microSD run for, but just putting it out there for anyone who wants to comparison shop.
the one i got from yongsan ran games that i previously had to dl patches for my DS/TT to run, like chinatown wars, so i'd say they have good cards there.
also came with a USB for the microsd. |

if you buy the ones from yongsan they will come loaded with korean games (4 gigs - about 70 games). you can also download them and put the games on yourself. find a torrent with a best of ds games or something. not hard at all. |

Place in the underground games market called "Game Collection" (A little more than half way down on the right side) has R4 cards (comes loaded with latest firmware, microSD, USB reader and a bunch of Korean games) for 40k. (For when the OP runs out and people are still looking to buy) |
