|
|
Hello-
My husband is working with a recruiter for a public school job in Chollabukdo, and though he hasn't been offered a job or seen a contract yet, she is mentioning 2.1 million a month (he has only a BA but is working on a TESOL certificate- should it then go up to 2.2?)
Also, we have been looking for our own housing because we figure that whatever housing the schools provide will be too small for a married couple. In this case should we just ask for a monthly housing allowance? I think the biggest issue is key money, but she said no key money is provided for public schools jobs (I assume this is because they want people to take the apartment the school has provided). This worries me- is it normal? |

Yes, that is normal. You provide the key-money
and the school pays you the housing allowance. |

It is flexible however. Friend of mine just got a new PS job and they offered to give him some key money. Depends on the school, never hurts to ask. |
