I'm thinking about ordering some kind of electronic keyboard from the US. Near as I can tell, the selection here in Korea is terrible and the price is so inflated that it makes economic sense to just find what I want in the US and have it mailed here.

I'm wondering:

1. Would it need a voltage converter?

2. Would I have to pay any customs duties on it? I seem to recall a couple of years ago reading that if goods were marked 'personal property' that they usually didn't get taxed.

Regards,
Art

Get it repackaged and your family to write it as used? It's a major, major item so you might have to pay duties on it.

You'd probably need a voltage converter. Yes, you'd be nailed as much as 60% for customs.

Did you try:
