 Posted: Fri Jan 22, 2010 5:36 am Post subject: Just renewed my contract for March but have changed my mind. |

Last week I renewed with my school for a 2nd year. The contract commences on Feb 23rd. My current contract has a 2 month notice period and the new one a month notice period.
Today I was offered another job starting on March Feb 23rd and I want to accept.
I am unsure about my notice period. In this contract it is 2 months but I don't have 2 months left on this contract. Can I cancel my renewal even though it has been signed? |

| You need to get released from your present contract in order to transfer your E2 sponsorship to your new employer. |

You won't be going anywhere without a letter of release. Once you get that paper all you have to do is submit it to immigration with your new contract.
The difficult part is getting your present employer to give you one. However, if you do get one you can kiss your severance package good-bye. |
