The Fergie:

Blows his top a the slightest affront to his authority. Unrivalled success as the boss of YBM franchises which are as sure-fire a money making scheme as you can get. Puce-faced, disliked by both Korean and native teachers but no one can doubt his acumen for wooing vulnerable soccer moms and getting their business. Is known for travelling to talk his star teachers out of quitting but not above kicking them to the kerb when they've outstayed their welcome or are getting to big for their costco loafers. Hates KGs (korean girlfriends for native teachers) and has spies all over town to report on the exploits of the employees.

The Mourinho

Charming sod. Good looking and persuasive, he can get teachers to work on Saturdays and be happy about it . Always has a quip for the local newspapers but has assembled a team of teachers based on graft rather than flair. Is known to confuse people by comparing English teachers to eggs in E-mart...

The Ron Atkinson:

Perma-tanned and dressed like Del Boy, this one is ahead of his time and prepared to break with tradition and sign coloured teachers but reserves the right to make indiscreet jokes about them with his hagwon boss buddies over a few sojus...

The Arsene Wenger

Great for teacher support. Every time a teacher commits an indiscretion he claims not to have seen it. Formidable reputation for spotting unqualified, inexperienced teachers and turning them into experts. Won't pay top dollar even though the parents are crying out for a big-name signing...

The Graham Souness - complete c**t who shouldn't be anywhere near a management position.

The John Barnes - decent teacher in his heyday, but knows nothing about management. Once released a song called 'Hagwon Rap', involving him dressing as a 90's over-the-top rapper and trying to be cool.

If?

The Korean manager of the team would just tell the coach to use the hurry up offensive no matter if it works or not. Just getting through the game is the important thing. The more games you play, he figures, the happier the fans.

Something like that. I could go on, but i don't have much time.

The Rafa Benitez

Invests heavily in his hagwon but still asks his paymasters for more and more and more each year. Willing to pay big money to secure teachers that no-one has rated for years, including those that should be taking a drop down to a second tier hagwon. Strikes gold once in a while to keep the praying moms at bay. Still doesn't know who his best teachers are after four years in the job.

The Brian Clough

Has totally transformed two unheralded hagwons in his time. They are now a symbol of excellence in Asia. Gets the best out of all of his teachers, even those with no teaching talent. Has been known to hit his teachers for not doing things his way. Irritates the student's fathers and grandfathers by calling them young man even when they are 20 years older but they are too scared to say anything. His recent addiction to soju is becoming a worry.

The Kevin Keegan

Adored by many. Has taken over a few hagwons and has lifted each one up at least one tier in the hagwon league. Gets his teachers really working for him towards the common goal. Gives the students what they want with a unique program of games, games and more games. This stategy sometimes comes unstuck against the big boys whose more organised educational program usually wins the day. He would 'love it' if, one day, he is able to topple the YBM's, CDI's etc.

The Glen Roeder

Has opened several hagwons in his time but they always go down within the year.

The Glen Hoddle:

Genuinely believes he is taking over a 'big hagwon' even though it has less than 100 students. Convinced that his own days as a teacher will inspire his employees to superstardom. Announcement that 'This is an exciting time to be at Ding Ding Dang' inspires smirks from all his staff, who consistantly underperform and foul up, leaving him sacked after six months.

The Claudio Renieri:

After spells at several moderately successful hagwons, ends up at one in Seoul where things are going all right until the wealthiest investor in Korea buys it up. The new owner only cares about having the most prestigious hagwon in the country and doesn't care if he loses money. Able to purchase any teacher he wants, but unable quite to pull it all together. His constant switching around of teachers from class to class draws numerous compliants from the parents. He thinks he knows exactly what teachers should teach each class yet changes his mind every week. The boss finds a young up-and-coming manager and sends him packing off to a hagwon in Busan.

The Gary Megson

Worked his socks off and saved the hagwon from bankruptcy. Solid on the basics and brought the place back to a place of respectablity from the brink of extinction.

Not attractive or sexy enough from Day 1 for the owners though and stupidly sacked after a few weeks of declining student numbers. Almost all onlookers now hope the hagwon gets what it deserves for their ingratitude to the industrious Gary!

Really? Im on the border of Manchester/Bolton and as such know a lot of Bolton fans, most of them are of the opinion that Megson makes seriously questionable tactical decisions.

He has taken the club from European football to stone cold last in the division and fighting against relegation.
