Ok so we all know its cold as balls out there..Moving into a new place and wanna know how to get it warmed up..Theres a thermostat on the wall which i turned on and clicked the up arrow. Is that all it takes to turn it on?

The only other heat related item i can find is the hot water heater in the bathroom. Which i have also turned on but am not sure how to get working.

Can anyone help me with these?

Depends where you come from.

That thermostat seems to be only for your hot water heater, not the heat for your place. Do you have any other things anywhere in your apartment?

I dont think that thermostat is the hot water, its right on the other side of the apt to the bathroom..seems very odd place to put it..but im guessing its all connected if its water ondol or something? perhaps? i just want heat Sad

I just asked a Korean and they said they'd never specifically seen that kind before but from the writing they think its only only for the hot water, not for the ondol.

If you've cranked it up to 20 and turned it on and the floor isn't getting warm, its definitely not it.

Look everywhere for any kind of little box you can even if you don't think its it, take a picture of it.

Found a manual and ran that by them:

http://www.daewoo-eng.com/bbs/dn.php?tb=hbbs_pro4_1&no=16&no2=0

apparently it is the right thing, they said you just turn it on, set a temperature and that is it. If it isn't working. Ask your landlord /coteacher.

Try holding both buttons down together. It says if you do that for 3 seconds you can access a menu. First you'll see SEN which has something to do with the sensor, tin, which has to do with the timer and rst which will reset it to defaults.

you might be able to do it from the SEN menu.

Yeah, I agree... looks like it controls water heater only.

Don't you have another thermostat in the house?
