Go with the full setup at home. You could use the portable at work, if necessary. With the full setup, all you have to do is right click on the folder to send it to the program.
But why would you want to convert to MP3? Why not convert to WMA? Nearly all MP3 players will do WMA, too. You get better quality for the same file size. See for yourself. Do a conversion to MP3 and WMA at the same bit rate, say 128k. Listen. It will be even more obvious at the lower bit rates.
I generally go for 196k, myself. You can go even higher, but your player and headphones might not show the difference. With a hifi, though, you can.
You can go with CBR or VBR, constant or variable bit rate, but some players don't like VBR or high CBR rates, so test first.
Don't know about organizing the files, though. |
