|
|
First off, I'm a woman....
That out of the way, seemingly overnight a new fashion trend has hit Seoul women, as well as elsewhere. Leggings and/or tights of some type, with short-shorts.
Who likes short Shorts? I Like short shorts! WOW. I was having naughty thoughts.
But the reason for this post, what star sparked this trend? It's been my experience that this type of thing happens when some star is seen doing it and then everyone copies it.
Anyone know who started this one? |

I remember seeing it when I was first here in 2006, so it is not new. I can't wait till they import the Japanese style of no leggings and super short skirts. |

Maybe it's my imagination, but this year it seemed to me that the colder it got, the shorter women's skirts and/or shorts got, which would seem to be counter intuitive.
My theory on why this would be: wearing leggings makes a woman bolder.
My opinion on how it looks: we likes it!! |

I've seen the real short skirt with tennis shoes and bobby socks. I personally think for a hot summer day that is ok. The thick tights with the shorts is one step away from being the lady of the evening... I think Plastic Barbie Doll is a name that works as well. The boots they wear are 5" high. |

That's not new. Been here for ages. Now it is leggings, short shorts and Fuggs if not the hooker boots or heels. |

mini skirts were here in the 60's believe it or not..
and the police used to go around the measure the length from the base of the skirt to the knee. so all the bad girls were fined hahahahaha |

I don't know what's happened to me, but I've stopped despising Uggs. I now think girls look sexy while wearing shorts, leggings, and Uggs. |

I don't mind it here; the slim leggings tucked into Uggs are infinitely better than the American collegiate preference for chunky sorority sweat pants tucked into Uggs. |

er... this 'trend' started 10 years ago in Europe. About 8 years ago, my French Canadian girlfriend caught on to it.
Koreans are hardly trend setters. |

Jesus, some posters really are on about it not being new or a trend.
For the record, I was just referring to it as a trend in Korea. I was not saying that it had never happened anywhere else.
Anyway, I haven't noticed it before, but maybe that's because I'm a woman and normally don't stare at the 'humps' of other women.... especially Korean women who tend not to have any 'back'. But I saw 4 women on the subway and three walking. And as I said, some naughty thoughts crossed my mind.
Not a style for me, but it worked for the ladies that I saw.
Happy new year! |
