We were given a few pieces of antique silver for wedding gifts and were brought over in suitcases, wrapped and ready to give. That was 5 years ago and now I am moving to Hong Kong in the next month or so. I don't really want to take the silver with us as we will never use it or display as we won't have space in our new apartment.

Is it possible to send stuff like that back to the UK without being stung for tax or other such stuff and would it be insured to send if I used someone like DHL?
