| Some of the mentioned examples of how this film was supposed to be insulting were especially revealing of the totally irrational mindset behind such laws. This is why it worries me so much when we try to make laws to regulate speech based on things like offense, insults, blasphemy, and so forth. This kind of nonsense is the inevitable end result. |

This is an interesting opinion piece from the Turkish Hurriyet in English. It shows how far freedom of speech has to go in Turkey. The comments are really interesting too, as much as the article I'd say. |
