Looking to buy a good zoom lens in the 70-200mm or similar range, for my Canon camera. I would like something fast, preferably f2.8. Sigma, Tamron, Canon, all have lenses that are fine--I'd probably prefer Sigma or Tamron since they're cheaper to begin with, but would consider more expensive lenses if I can find a reasonably good deal.
Also, I may be interested in a Canon 50mm, if someone has one. |

What time frame are you looking to buy this in? Right now? I just bought an EOS 7D kit from tigerdirect.com but I won't receive it until my friend visits in March. The kit I bought comes with the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens, but I only want the body. I know this isn't what you requested, but it is similar. A little slower, and a bit longer range, but similar. It's new and still in the box. Actually, it hasn't even shipped from tigerdirect yet  (I bought it over the New Year's holiday). If this lens is something you want, then we can work on ways of getting it here sooner. I can have my friend ship it to me as soon as it is delivered in Seattle but that would be expensive (shipping plus duties). Anyway, I just saw your posting and thought I would throw that out there. Thanks for the info, but I'm not really interested in that particular lens at the moment.
I'm not in Seoul, so I'm not in a terrible rush, although I am planning to leave Korea in April. If no one has anything, then I'll probably head in to Namdaemun sometime and see what's available there. |
