Situation: My contract ends in April, and I want to either work my current job again or find another job without the need of new documents or leaving the country. I work for a private after school company.

I have spoken to my current manager and she has told me it's impossible to renew now because the current principal head will retire and a new guy is coming to power in the first week of March. The manager has told me it will be up to the new principal if I can renew at this school or not. I told her my situation and what I want, and she has told me it's possible. She told me one of these will happen:

A) I can renew at the current school without the need of new documents.

B) I can renew at another school under the same company and work there without the need of a new visa (simply renew my visa but with a new contract/different school)

C) If I can not renew and there are no schools hiring under the company that I work for, she will help me transfer my visa to a new company/school without the need of new documents.

My question is, what are the chances of transfering a visa without new documents? Is it a difficult process with slim chances? I don't want to put all of my eggs in one basket by relying on my manager and her words alone. I was under the impression that it's not easy to transfer a visa to a different school, but maybe I am wrong.

Thanks Very Happy

You are fine. I haven't completed my changing jobs yet, but I will soon. The only real question in C. If you find a new job, your current employer will have to sign a "transfer consent" form which allows you to switch jobs.

My employer knew I was getting a new job and had no problems signing off on my transfer consent. Since your employer has already said they'd help you, I'd bet you'll be fine.
