Just wondering how many books you guys read in 2009. I finally had time to read for pleasure and I managed to finish 29 books. How did the rest of you bookworms do? |

Probably like 15 or so books on the Civil War, some not cover to cover, but like 80% of each.
3 Jane Austens (Persuasion- yum!), Twelfth Night, The Killer Angels, Newt Gingrich's Gettysburg Trilogy. The Guns of the South. A good chunk of Henry IV, Part 1 and Henry V.
I sometimes miss the first two years of High School where I had no friends and could read, read, and read. |

I finished five books but I stopped reading with about 6 months to go in the year. |

I read before I sleep, sitting on the subway, waiting for people, waiting to get served in a restaurant, sipping coffee after eating...
Reading is almost a compulsion -- I can't leave my house without one or two books. On top of that I'm also a fast reader. |

15 plus about another 15 or so short stories in the past 7-8 months... all based in the 40k universe. Warhammer's one of my guilty pleasures. |

Probably more than 100. I have at least 800 books at home and most of them I have read at least three times and one more than 17 times. |

I've read between 70 and 100 myself. I'm a fast reader, and lots of what I read this year would be classed as page turners, with little depth, just to give my head a break from stuff like Moby Dick and the Scarlet Letter- both of which are brilliant, but a little draining. |

I'm a super fast reader also. I only really read when I'm at the restaurant or on the subway/bus. Guess if I actually read while I was at home I would have better numbers, but oh well. I'm just happy that I've found the time to read whatever I want again. BTW, I know most people like Kyobo and WhattheBook here, but I think Youngpoong near Jonggak is the best bookstore in Korea. They also have an awesome gift shop deal on the bottom floor. |

I would say the same, my collection has just gotten to around 400 books.
However I tend to read science and biology books to slow me down; (re queen, darkwins (early stuff), finally got around to reading origin of the species); when I go on a page turning bender. |
