|
|
Hey all,
I'll be heading to Seoul this weekend in hopes of fixing my PS3.
My PS3 has stopped reading Blu-Ray discs, and I am fairly certain that it's a problem with the lens. I was wondering if anyone knows of, or has had dealings with, a place that repairs PS3's in Seoul.
For the record, I've taken apart my PS3 and cleaned the lens manually. I've also checked for file curroption and the like.

There is a thread about this. Search my posting history. Basically, go to Naebang Station on line 7 and walk out Exit 5. When you get to the top of the hill (the first intersection with a traffic light) there will be a Sony service center on the 2nd floor of the building on the corner (on your right). They fixed mine- which by the sound of it had the same problem as yours- in about 20 minutes. |

There was a special warranty period for PS3's that had such a problem. It was common with earlier 60gb models, if memory serves. Perhaps others, too.
You should have checked before opening yours up. |

I have a Korean PS3 and the repair was free as I was still under warranty. |
