I want to mention that my wife's friend has this cool little place that sells some amazing food! It's sort of a side dish place that also makes a few custom orders as well.

Here are a few of the great dishes:

fish cooked with egg
zuccinni cooked with egg
Vegetarian chap chae~ clear noodles, spinach, exotic mushroom,

My personal favorite is their chicken soup. It's a bit like Andong Jim-dalk, but different. She prepares it with virtualy no spice. (You spice it up yourself!) There is plenty of chicken, potatoes, carrots, exotic mushroom, onions. You get two bags of it for 20,000 won! Just put it in a pot, add water and spices and heat it up (it's pre-cooked). The chicken soup can be prepared in a min. of 3 hours, but sometimes a day (depending on the demand. If it's too long, then just go to NEi Nei Chicken a few doors down and they'll make the traditional Andong Jim Dalk lickety split.)

There are other gimchies and side dishes. The prices are very reasonable.

It's called OM MA SONE BAN CHEON 02 794-7463. It's up Kyungleedan area (the main road) directly across the street from the I Love Cooking Shop and just before the work-out gymn.

Her English isn't very good. write dates and times down, and if you need to call tourist info. 02-1330. and press 2 for an English (bilingual) operator. (She may just telephone my wife, instead.)

Enjoy!
