I'm dead set on getting my TEFL certification before I return to Korea again. That being said I found one near my home stateside...

BAE: Boston Academy of English

http://www.bostonacademyofenglish.com/TEFL/costs.htm $2300 (for the PT course)

My worry however is that it will not be recognized because it is a 96 hour program. The full time program is 120 hours but conflicts with my grad. school schedule. How would you say this TEFL cert compares with the online ones?

That doesn't look like a very good place to do teacher training. Nowhere on the website does it mention that they are a recognized institution for EFL/ESL training. Nor are they connected with a University. Also, you really want a 100-120 hour course. For that kind of money, why don't you just do the CELTA in Thailand before coming back to Korea?

Furthermore, if you're in grad. school now, is it really worth doing a certification? You could probably get a uni job (perhaps not in Seoul, but in outer areas) in the fall with just an MA in hand...
