| I want to ship my friend a box of weird Korean candy for Halloween. Do you folks know of any stores that specialize in that kind of stuff? |

Make sure you friend doesn't pass them out for Halloween. I think giving kids in the U.S. kimchi laced chocolate will probably get you arrested. |

우와! 한국어 능력이 정말 대단하네. 어떻게 그 만큼 잘 할 수 있나요?

| Really any Korean supermarket. Look for the Ginseng and Rose Gum. All kinds of of strange snacks and candies. Maybe trying to find some classic yut. Still that would not ship the best. |

| Go to one of the many little stationary/snack shops usually just outside an elementary school and you can pick up lots of different kinds of candies for just a few hundred won each. You can't really find them outside these stores. (thinking of the dots on a paper, the pumpkin-colored corn sheets, etc-- candy that's been around for 20+ years). Not really flavorful or sweet, but still kinda cool looking packaging. |

| In Hyewha on Daehangno I saw street booths selling old school candy. In Insadong, there are a few shops that sell the same type of candy. It's like "Ye Old Candy Shoppe" Korean style. |

Thanks, guys!
Thrylos, unfortunately, the local elementary school is right by my apartment and there aren't any little stationary/snack shops around here. |

Not one!? Not a little shop selling pencils, pokeman cards, and popsicles. The places never look fancy - usually a little hole in the wall place.
Still just go to E-mart and have a look. |

I actually did see kimchi chocolate at Lotte Mart before along with ginseng chocolate. I know Koreans love their kimchi, but it doesn't sound like a great mix. Made me remember this old ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJLDF6qZUX0
That ad is corny enough, but if you replaced the peanut butter with kimchi, it would make a pretty funny spoof commercial. |

Argh! - I wished I had remembered that! The Korean Chocolates from Kimchi to Hot Pepper to Kim(Seaweed). |
