I have thought about attending a Korean University for a Master's degree and was curious on how relevant a degree from, say SNU, would be compared to many of the programs in the United States. I have done quite a bit of research on the forums and a lot of people state that their is not much international relevance. That or it may be hard in the future to find jobs in like Japan or different parts of the world.
Is this true, or is there some validity to other peoples posts?

Japan, China and Korea are probably the only countries where the names of SNU and KAIST might be known, but SNU and KAIST does fairly well on university rankings at least.
I'm not quite sure what you mean with international relevance. I study in Korea because it's what I want to do and I also think it will work out well for me, but there are a lot of factors which influence how much you'll get out of a Korean degree. |
