Having just read about the student in the US who outed a couple of the bigger brand-name fashion stores for wasting old products (at the start of what is likely to become the worst depression in global history)

http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/06/hm-says-it-will-stop-destroying-unworn-clothing/?WT.mc_id=fb_nyt1057&WT.mc_ev=click

it reminded me how cool it is that Adidas have two stores in the same busy stretch of trendy shopping stores here in little old Gwangju, Jeollanamdo.
One store is for the latest designs for this season, and the other, just a few doors down, is for those who care less about the date of the design and are happy to pick up products at discounted prices.

I know back home there are some brands which have 'factory second' outlets, but I've not actually heard of this kind of example of having two stores so nearby each other before, almost competing. I think it shows that Adidas is comfortable in its confidence of design for the new season... or something. Whatever the case,

does anyone else know of other places where brand name stores such as Adidas have older stock or factory seconds stores, either here in 'our country' or back 'home'..?
(It'd be good to get something of a list available here.)

Does the owner of the cheaper one happened to have an eye patch and a parrot? Maybe a pegleg? Because that's what he is likely to be selling

Huh?! He's likely to be selling eye patches, parrots and peglegs..?!
Wow, Adidas sure has diversified a bit since I last paid a look-in there, huh?!
Obviously they're catering to the sportier pirates amongst us these days ㅎㅎ.
But cereally, in the store in town here, it's all authentic, genuine merchandise; just 'old' stock and 'out of season' is the only difference.
