Take some vitamin D supplements. You will never have a cold again. |

Yes, I was sick like that. I saw a doctor. I also brought back some cold junk from home after that.
Hope you feel better. I hated being sick for such a long time. |

My friend told me the same thing a few days ago.I bought a multi-vitamin, but maybe strictly vitamin D is the way to go? |

I had this problem last year, where a cold just wouldn't go away and then I discovered that I had mold underneath a lot of my wall paper.
If your cold has lasted this long, be sure to check around your apartment for mold.
A healthy person's immune system should fight off a cold within 5-10 days with rest and a sufficient living situation.
Considering your cold has lasted nearly 3 weeks, I would start to look around my apartment and work for a possible cause and or go seek medical attention. I'm no doctor, but a cold shouldn't last 2-3 weeks.
Also, are you a smoker or do you hand out in bars where they smoke a lot? Smoking could cause your symptoms as well. |

It could be allergies.
Also, something had ahold of me on and off for over 2 months. Had several checks, and it turned out that I also had strep. Had to take a week of antibiotics to get rid of it. |

Yea, I was sick for most of my year in Seoul. Turns out it was allergies to all the black mold in my apartment, combined with the pollution. Oh well! Fun year regardless! |

I don't think it's black mold as that usually forms during the extremely humid summers of South Korea. The winter is less humid. So, black mold shouldn't be the cause unless you were feeling this during the summer as well.
I suspect black mold has affected me in some way. I can't find any, but I certainly had a musty scent about my apartment during the summer. It's odd that I went home to America and felt perfectly fine but had a strange feeling when in Korea like something was off. Not enough to get any treatment. It was just a nuisance that would pop up here and there. |

Lots of food and fluids (nothing cold or spicy), mega dose with vitamins, get lots of rest, stay indoors but out of bars and restaurants, no alcohol, and keep stress levels low. Get a humidifier and keep it clean. The winters here are too dry, which is not good for the normal functioning of your mucus membranes. |

Me too. I've never had as many trips to the doctors as I did whilst in Korea. Cold, flu and sore throats. Just as I think it's gone, it comes back.
Ginger tea is good and that Chinese orange/lemon drink they are selling everywhere now.Other than that, don't know what to tell ya. I'm in the same boat!! |

i had a similar problem a while back. Went to the Dr a few times and just got the standard non-descript pills that didnt really work. I tired acupuncture in the end, four session in a week and i was right as rain for the next 6 months, not even a snivel. |

Some good advice.I also find the air to be terribly dry during winter, so much so that my lips are constantly chapped and hands dry and cracked at times. |

I had similar problems last year and found out they were recurring sinus infections. Have you seen a dr recently? Some antibiotics might do the trick. |

Try taking echinacea - I would recommend one a day even when you are better as it helps prevent illness aswell as building the immune system. |
