Pay no attention to me as I have some time on my hands and then I read the following article...

Like, uh, where else one gonna go in korea?!?!
Seoul with a multi million people/car population? Smog. Crowds. You see one korean city...you have seen them all! They are all alike it seems...same building designs, restaurants, bells, mountains...I am not knocking it as I live here...but nothing is really different when driving from one town to the other! I guess I am used to the other countries that I have seen with noticeable differences! Look at the sights one sees in France, Great Britain, elsewhere in Europe, Thailand, China, the P.I., Japan, Canada, Africahave not been the Australia so no comment. N.Z. is colorful! But then again, korea is a small country. Still, the people could make it more attractive! Make it so people WANT to return to korea for a visit. |

Uniformity, uniformity, uniformity.. do not stand out from the crowd. That is the Korean way. |

Jeju sure is different.
There are actually more variety in Korea than you'd think if you just stuck to the bigger cities.

The ultimate excuse for not travelling the country more.
Seogwipo? Gyeongju? Tongyeong? All distinctive characters well worth visiting. And get out of the cities. After all, this thread is not about cities. It's about favorite destinations. Korea has some beautiful and fun natural areas and interesting sites. Get out some more and see for yourself. |
