If someone is renewing at the same public school and leaving the country on a round trip ticket for the last two weeks of the contract term, is it still possible to collect a pension refund for the year? I would rather put that money towards my student loan than leave it in the pension fund for another year.

I called up the pension office and they know my employer and expected date of last contribution. It seems like I shouldn't be able to collect, but I haven't seen that stated anywhere explicitly, so I might try my luck at the office.

Has anyone done this successfully?
