I have an interview for a job in Sanbon, which is apparently just a little outside of Seoul. The area looks very nice and the job looks good, I was just wondering if any of you live there or have lived there? Is there anything you can tell me, or would you advise against taking this job?

It's a pretty good area. I worked there and my ex-fiance did as well. I'd recommend it to anybody

It is right next to anyang or beomgye, so a search for those two names might get more hits

Sanbon's great! It's really one of the nicest places in Korea to live in. Not far from seoul, and after a little while you'll realize that everything's better in Sanbon!

Yeah, I wouldn't hesitate living there.

Sanbon is the shizzle.
-Convenient station right before a major transfer to Seoul [which means you are 100% more likely to get a seat on the train].
-Clean and cool air from the mountain.
-Small size makes it easy to get around.
-Decent places to hang out in town if you don't feel like going far for fun, but Anyang, Seoul and Suwon are just a skip away.

I really enjoyed Sanbon 2 years ago, but Beomgye has taken over and jumped way ahead of Sanbon in coolness. There are tons of foreigners, but it seems like kind of a bizarro Korea land nowadays, with lots of ugly foreign girls dating Korean guys and a lot of foreign guys who seem kind of gay.

There is Indian food in Sanbon, too. Right on the mainstrip.

Its one of the better Indian restaurants in Korea, too. Do it!

Where in Beomgye?! I go there more frequently than I do Sanbon and I've never seen any Indian food before.

Sanbon is a nice area, and it has some foreign restaurants as well.
I live in Gunpo which is a bit smaller, and I travel regularly to that area for the E-mart and restaurants. Not a bad area at all. =)

I live in Sanbon.

It is nice. A little slow at times but Beomgye is close enough for food/other bars.

30-40 mins to many places in Seoul.
