Hello,
I do not completely understand how to use the heating/oil system in my apartment. It uses oil NOT public gas (i.e. a truck comes to deliver oil to a large tank in my apartment to fuel the furnace.
There are 4 buttons and 3 dials. I understand the use of all the buttons, from to bottom...full power, sleep mode, water, and power(on/off).
The 3 dials I am having some difficulty with. From top to bottom. I understand the first dial, it allows one to select a desired temperature. The second and third I do not understand at all. And, I have asked a few Koreans who themselves did not understand it, or were not able to expalin it clearly to me due to the language barrier. The second dial has, from left to right Jeong Ji(Stop) 1....2....3...4...5...6...7 Ji Gan. The bottom dial has three written (Hangul) indicators with a 85 degree Celsius indicator with the last. I'm afraid I can't translate the three indicators.
Can someone describe what the 2 bottom dials are, do and how I should set them to maximize oil use as it is very expensive?
Thanks!

I think your problem is that you use an older model that doesn't go to 11. |

I think you have the same system as me.
The three dials you are talking about do these fuctions:
Dial with the high numbers sets the actual temperature of the water.
Dial with the middle range numbers sets the temperature of the room.
Dial with the single digit numbers sets how often (in hours) the heater cycles on and off. This helps prevent frozen pipes if you are away for an extended period of time. |
