Yes, they need some lessons on manners.
They will carry on with bad until they are shown what is good.
Tell them in English, in a gentlemanly manner, that is an unacceptable behaviour.
That changes a 'Child-Adult' exchange into an 'Adult-Adult' exchange.
The child probably can't understand what you're saying but
they can 'feel' that they've done something bad and shouldn't do it again. |

The Korean idea of fat is quite different, even for men....fat=not super skinny
When I worked with kids they called me fat all the time. Just being normal by Western standards is fat in Korea.
When kids say or do rude things to me on the street I usually raise my arms and say: "hangook saram gogi mashisayo, mmm mogo shipayo!" Undoubtedly grammatically incorrect, but it scares them. |

This cracked me up. Think about it from their point of view..
"dude, wth is that crazy fat foreigner doing? He looks mentally unstable, rambling in gibberish... let's get outta here!"
Congratulations, you just turned into the white version of that old crazy rambling asian guy back home who hung around the local convenience store. |

| The more likely they are to believe that I actually do intend to eat them the better. |

| Learn 'son meori'. It means 'hands on head'. Corner them, make them do it for 5 minutes. Stand and watch them. Korean kids respond to a loud voice quite well even if they just disrespected you a minute ago. |

| I think the best thing to do would be to reflect on how self conscious one must be that the noises unfamiliar children make could be of absolutely any concern over the 15 seconds after they make it that it takes to determine there's not some weird stain on your shirt or something that would indicate they aren't just being silly and that their behavior is very minimally legitimate from a grown up point of view. |

That's got to be one of the most retarded things I've heard.
1) You're a cannibal?
2) Why are you being polite?
Mashisa
Mogoshipda
For the love of god don't say that again or the kids will start calling you Aija |
