Is there a shipping service in Korea that I can use to send makkeoli to the States (legitimately, without it getting sent back or rejected when it arrives)? |

not sure about the states but i've sent soju back to the UK before. I just used standard airmail. secure it inside the box so that the person in the postoffice doesnt know its liquid and then mark the contents as 'misc birthday gifts' or something along those lines. |

Which likely isn't legit. Things like alcohol and tobacco have all kinds of import duties and restrictions in various countries. Might get it in, might disappear, might get in trouble.
Your best bet is to call US customs and ask them if there is any paper work you have to submit. |

Most makeoli bottles don't seal properly...they're fine when they are upright but then spill when on their side or upside down...so test your bottles before you ship them, whatever you find out about customs. |

Hey, if they won't let you ship it you can always buy some in a Korean Market back in the state depending on where you live, but you'd be surprised at how many there are. But if it's a gift then I hope you get it through. Good Luck! |
