Looks half decent. I don't know if I'll continue with it, though. Running it now...

I have an Apple machine as well. I have to say these screenshots don't exactly demonstrate/show fonts the way Mac OS X renders them, despite what these webpages say. Basically, the rendering looks icky, but it does give you an option.

GDI++ is a small program made by a Japanese freelancer that modifies the default ClearType rendering in Windows. Download the program if you want to fiddle with your settings...

I'm pretty sure Windows Vista and Windows 7 each have unique font rendering. Would someone care to upload screenshots of those OS's?

Ughhhh....TMI....TMI.... (too much information??) :p

Verdict?

I think a lot of it comes down to the quality of your monitor or laptop screen. Apple do make good hardware and the resolution of the screens is crisp and bright. I run OS X on a hackintosh setup, and it doesn't look nearly as nice as it does on an Imac.
I tried this fix on my cheapo generic monitor running Win7 and it just looked blurry. You can use font smoothing in the windows display options to achieve similar effects.
