I have worked in Korea on an E2 visa 6 years but spent the last 2 years coming in and out on tourist visas. If I apply for an E2, do I need to return to Ireland for an interview at the Korean Consulate or can I do a visa run as I have previously held an E2,

anyone with any solid info??

Hi,

I am in the process of reapplying for my second working visa for korea and my recruiter informed me that a visa run to Japan would be suffice as long as my first visa was issued in Ireland. As it has been some time since you had your first visa I'm not 100% sure becasue my visa was cancelled/expired in Dec 09.

Maybe not as solid as advice as you need but might help!
PS how did you manage working illegally for so long - fair play!
